A Proud and Proactive Jonathan Harnisch Helps Save the Only State Psychiatric Hospital for Children in Long Island
A native New Yorker and mental health advocate (among other things) I seemed to have successfully used my quite extensive audience reach online and hoped I could spend the morning to help Save Sagamore. I believed it to be a necessary cause and petition and necessary for me to dive in the best I could to do what I could. As a result, I am incredibly proud to say, that I reached my own personal goal—Helping Save Sagamore (Twitter: @SaveSagamore)
In the spirit of children in need and being Mental Health Awareness Week, I just wanted to extend my public congratulations to you all at Sagamore.
One Morning Mission Complete
7 October 2013 10:00 AM
Goal: 5,000 onto 5,020 and counting!
Sagamore Children’s Psychiatric Center opened in 1969 and treats seriously emotionally disturbed children of Nassau and Suffolk Counties, who range in age from 9 through 17 and require a structured inpatient program. Located in Dix Hills, Sagamore is operated by New York State’s Office of Mental Health (OMH) and is accredited by The Joint Commission.
I feel so proud today to have helped save Long Island’s Only State Psychiatric Hospital for Children especially during Mental Health Awareness Week.
“From across the country, Jonathan Harnisch helped Save Sagamore reach its goal of 5,000 petition signatures! He is a true advocate! Thank you!!! Thank you so much.”
‘The pleasure is mine. Sometimes it’s just time to give & give back a bit. Glad I could help Save Sagamore.’
