Katt—Taking A Journey Every Day

“This is for you, my friend…the J-meister!”

-Katt Moccio

Katt, whatever you do, don’t change. Don’t change so that more and more people will like you, you know that! Stay just the way you are… Keep being yourself. You inspire me, Katt, you know how the more we are ourselves, the right people will love us, who we really are.

A hui hou…

-Jonathan

If you’re in the darkness, that’s where the light is.

In Good Company with Katt:

She is in love with the most amazing man in the Universe, her husband. She has terrific children whom she loves more than anything. She adores cats, if it isn’t already implied. She loves to write and she does a fantastic job on her blog. Katt uses her blog as a medium to vent. For many people, mental illness, or not, she inspires, and to all who know her, Katt’s authenticity illuminates and projects gentility, though she’s likely poke fun at the word “gentility.” Knowing Katt, she’d perhaps quote Paul Newman diverting attention with her innate wittiness…

‘Ah, it’s always darkest before it turns absolutely pitch black.’

To me, Katt is open and genuine. She is consistent. Katt is real, natural, pure, unaffected, heartfelt, unforced, and wholehearted. I could tell from her unfeigned enthusiasm for life I was meeting a true friend when I did the very first time last Christmas. Katt is an inspiration. A favorite photographs of hers represents one who is shattered, broken, and stripped of faith; a wounded soul… A heart having become ripped by hurt, pain, despair, and agony. The metaphors and the photograph itself has be thinking not in words, but in feeling, of what this image feels like, or can feel like, way deep down inside. It’s taken me all morning to digest the nature of this ‘beast,’ the significance of what it means to be part of the human condition, with meaning and depth, thus knowing how Katt is able to transcend the surface and dig in so deep, deep  into the core of human emotion and gut.

Katt always comes through for me with flying colors and surprise. As for the world itself she resonates a brilliant shine, which only a lucky few have the opportunity to know. See more on her blog linked here:

One Response to “Katt—Taking A Journey Every Day”

  1. Jonathan….I just want to say thank you for your kind, and very real and truthful words =) I am, and will be, forever grateful and blessed to call you…my friend. Not just my…but “MY” friend…Kinda making me have to go and write something again….lol. Always keeping me on my toes with your own brilliance, transparency and zeal for life!!! You come across obstacles daily and yet you always find a way around them, through them, under or over them…and sometimes you just blow the hell out of that wall and walk right over the rubble! You are truly the inspiration for the entire human race for all that you conquer; all that you stand firm on; and all that you stand for. Never backing down even when life has you down. You go J!!!
